Viticulture

Champagne Lanson, Le Blanc de Blancs is a refined sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France, crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes. Known for its elegance and freshness, it offers bright aromas of citrus, white flowers, and green apple, along with delicate mineral notes and a lively, fine mousse. Its palate is crisp and precise, with a clean, vibrant finish that reflects the purity of the Blanc de Blancs style. This cuvée is often appreciated as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, and light dishes.

Oenology

Champagne Lanson, Le Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, the emblematic white variety of Champagne. In the cool climate of the region, this grape ripens slowly, preserving high acidity, freshness, and delicate aromas. The wine is typically crafted from carefully selected parcels of chalky Champagne terroir, which contributes tension, minerality, and finesse. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented to retain purity and precision, then blended and undergoes a second fermentation in bottle according to the traditional Champagne method. Extended aging on the lees adds complexity, texture, and subtle notes of brioche and yeast, while preserving the bright, elegant style that characterizes a Blanc de Blancs.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Champagne Lanson, Le Blanc de Blancs from Champagne is best paired with delicate, refined dishes that highlight its freshness, citrus notes, and fine minerality. Recommended dishes include oysters, scallops, sushi and sashimi, carpaccio of sea bass or scallop, poached lobster, and light white fish with lemon or herbs. As accompanying dishes, choose green asparagus, fennel salad, cucumber salad, young zucchini, creamy risotto with a light texture, fresh goat cheese, and lightly toasted brioche or fine blinis. For dessert, it also works well with lemon tart, citrus sorbet, or a delicate almond cake.
